As we begin the new year, we know the effects of the crisis will continue to be felt even after the pandemic comes to an end. As a result of the COVID-19 crisis, animal welfare partners have seen an increase of over 40% in the need for services like pet food banks and emergency care. Pet parents need our help now more than ever as many are potentially forced to surrender their pets in their time of need.
We hope no pet parent ever has to choose between putting food on their table or in their pet’s bowl, that’s why we’re proud to be making a $350,000 commitment to help provide pet food and supplies for families facing economic hardship due to the COVID-19 crisis through 2021.
